Joseph Pedano’s expertise lies in building and maintaining next-generation networks that provide value-added services to customers seeking advanced products and services. As Vice President of Data Engineering for Evolve IP, he is responsible for the overall data architecture for customer and internal networks, as well as the efficient operation and performance management of those networks.
Mr. Pedano most recently served as the Senior Manager of Data Platform Engineering for ATX Communications, Inc. , where he was responsible for the IP/MPLS Network, Frame Relay, Hosting/E-Business, Managed Services, and Security platforms. He was the engineering creator behind ATX’s FrontLine suite of Managed Services Products, which helped to reshape the company into a next-generation provider. FrontLine also was honored as Communications Solutions Magazine’s Product of the Year Award for 2005.
Before joining ATX, Mr. Pedano was the Manager of Data Engineering and Performance Management at Comcast Business Communications (CBC). There, he served as the lead data architect for a six-city metro and long haul network build-out, which included metro fiber rings to connect customers, Internet and data connectivity, and long-haul transport. He also was responsible for handling Tier 4 issues escalated from the NOC, and for the performance management of CBC’s Internet backbone and private data connectivity network.
Mr. Pedano’s 13-year career has led him to become well-versed in networking technologies, Internet topologies, and industry-best operations practices. His leadership skills and vast industry knowledge, along with his acute business acumen, enabled him to become the youngest manager at CBC as well as a decorated MVP at ATX.
Mr. Pedano received a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in math, economics, and Spanish from Saint Joseph’s University.
