Quick Tip Video: Polycom VVX500/600 Speed Dial
This is an Evolve IP quick tip video on how to set up a speed dial.
When you are ready to set up a speed dial, first select the “home” key on your phone. This will bring you to a home screen where you then must select the “directories” icon. Once you have selected the “directories” icon, the directory soft key will automatically be highlighted on the page that appears.
From this page, select the “plus” or “add” soft key at the top to begin adding in a new contact. From here, using your keypad, you have the ability to enter in the contact’s first and last name, contact number, as well as job title and email address, if you would like.
For this demonstration, I am going to add in my coworker, Lindsey Hoag, as well as her contact number. Once you have added in their first and last name, contact number, and any other information you choose to, use your finger to scroll down the screen to select the “favorite” index.
Once selected, this is your first speed dial you are creating, enter in the number one. Going forward, as you create new speed dials, make sure to choose the next corresponding number. So, the second speed dial you create, you enter in the number two in the “favorite” index, and so forth. When you have entered in a number within the “favorite” index, please select “save.”
Once saved, it will take you back to the original directories screen and your new contact will appear. Hit the “home” key on your phone twice and this will take you back to your main screen now showing your new speed dial.
